Designed by the Renault Sport Formula One Team, the Renault Twizy minicar is a compact, zero-emission, 100% electric vehicle. Powered by a recyclable lithium-iron battery, it is equipped with a driver’s airbag, seatbelts and side impact protection. It drives like a normal car but is less than four feet wide, which is ideal for Island life, and can go up to (and over!) 55 miles on a single charge.
The Twizy, alongside other electric minicars, are the only cars available for rent in Bermuda. This can be done via Current Vehicles (link to https://www.currentvehicles.com) as well as many prominent hotels, including the Rosedon, The Loren at Pink Beach and the Mid Ocean Club. Charging ports are stationed around Bermuda and electricity is included in the rental price. A valid driver’s license and a minimum age of 25 are required.
