Located in the Bermuda Botanical Gardens in Paget, the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art is a not-for-profit organisation that relies on funding from the community and abroad. One of the Island’s cultural and historical treasures, Masterworks Museum is striving to build a major collection of Bermuda art from artists both past and present.
The museum’s permanent collection comprises 1500 works of art in mediums including painting, sculpture and photography. These pieces are inspired by Bermuda and date from the 1700s until modern day. A wide range of artists are represented, including individuals from Canada, Sweden, France, the United States and beyond. Notable names include Winslow Homer, Georgia O’Keeffe, Marsden Hartley, Charles Demuth and Henry Moore. Both acclaimed artists and lesser known local and international talents are showcased.
